Kaztec Engineering Ltd as one of the big players in Oil and Gas Engineering in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa is poised to breaking frontier in this field. The company’s fabrication yard in Lagos only in its first phase development has delivered so many projects already that the full potential of the yard and the contribution it’s going to make in Nigeria’s Oil and Gas service sector with its local content policy can never be over emphasized. It was on this premise that the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria decided to pay visit to the yard. 

On the 9th of March 2018 Kaztec Engineering Ltd hosted the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria represented by the Hon. Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Emmanuel Kachikwu to their Fabrication Yard located at Snake Island Lagos. 

“I am impressed with what I have seen here and a lot still needs to be done. The fact that I can come here shows that the government is interested with what happens here. The vice president is standing by the direction of Mr. President to creating environment where there is no delays in approvals and all the necessary supports given to make sure facilities are put to optimal use” the minister said.

The Management of Kaztec Engineering Limited and representatives of China Shipbuilding Industry Company (CSIC), the state owned largest shipbuilding Company in China did a joint presentation to the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo (GCON).

Kaztec Engineering Limited is a 100% indigenous Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Construction, and Management (EPIC-M) Company. CSIC is a conglomerate of over Forty Six (46) subsidiaries that include among others, China Shipbuilding Offshore International Company (CSOC), China Ship Design & Research Center, China Shipbuilding Industry Equipment & Materials etc.

CSIC has built several Floating, Production, Storage & Offloading (FPSO) Vessels. CSIC also has expertise in Project Management Team Support, Integrated Project Management System, Mooring Designs and Fabrications etc.

The objective of the partnership is replicating similar capabilities in shipbuilding and fabrication in Nigeria.

The team of Kaztec &CSIC made a joint presentation to the Hon. Minister of State Petroleum Resources and his team showcasing their joint capabilities. They also underscored their strategic objective of building similar capabilities in shipbuilding and fabrication in Nigeria.
